3 WOMEN & a GUY: INTERVIEW WITH RRI - VOICE OF INDONESIA

1. CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR SECOND BOOK ENTITLED “3 WOMEN AND A GUY”?

3 Women and A Guy is a novel which telling about love, live, and friendship between 3 women that is Fayra, Ully, Nina and a guy who named Abi. This novel divided in three parts according to that 3 women experiences. My book is telling about most of common relationship problems between men and women not only as a result of fundamental psychological differences between the genders, but also a result of political and social construction, the truth is men and women want the same things in relationship. Through Fayra, Ully, Abi, and Nina, I hope everyone who read this book can improving  a better communication and getting what you want in your relationships and develop more satisfying relationships with their partners by understanding and respecting the differences between them.

2. WHY DO YOU USE A METROPOLITAN LIVE AS THE BACKGROUND OF THE STORY?

Hmm, I can say I was inspired much from American Serial “Sex and The City”. In fact, metropolitan or cosmopolitan lifestyle  is around us. Even we can see it in the small town that are far away from Jakarta. I lived in Jakarta and Bandung for almost 8 years, I can see what is going on with the urban people. This is the reality between us. My point is to ask people open their mind and respond all the differences with the fully respect. In this modern life which highly competitive, people become more individuals, having a great love and good friendship is a gift. It help us easier to live day by day, it keep us away for being a robot and a cold hearted person.

3. YOU ALSO WROTE VERY DETAIL EXPLANATION ABOUT INTIMACY IN THIS BOOK, WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SAY TO YOUR READERS?

Ah ya, the detail explanation about the intimacy. Well, before I answer that, there was a funny thing when my nephew who was 15 years old asking me can he read my book. And then I realized there are some intimacy contents in this book so I said “no, you can not read it”. At that time, I think my book need reader discretion. Well, what I am trying to say, I just want to show the reader how sweet the intimacy between husband and wife or the intimacy between lover and that is essential for making a good or healthy relationship. It’s not just having sex, but making love is so important so everyone can value their relationship. Intimacy contents in my book is one thing that I think could entertain readers. Because we love intimacy. We all do.

4. YOU CREATE CHARACTERS WITH THEIR “ABNORMAL” PSHYCOLOGICAL CONDITION, WHY?

Being normal is not easy. Being abnormal is more difficult. I have some LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexsual, Transgender) friends who live their life with many obstacles day by day. Can we imagine how they feel, how they live, when no one can understand, no one can accept them even their family. As a professional social worker, that’s become my principal for being nonjudgemental. Don’t judge people, who do we think we are. We are not the God. Every individual is unique and everyone has potential and chance to become a better person whatever their backstory or their past. Through this book, I want to tell people life is never easy, but we are not alone, there are so many people out there having bigger problems but they could survive and overcome the situation. We can learn from the 3 women and a guy, from the characters on my book.

5. WHAT MESSAGES THAT YOU WANT TO GIVE YOUR READERS FROM THIS BOOK?

I assume you and all the listener know Book “Men Are From Mars and Wome Are From Venus??? My message is simply about how to making a good understanding about love, life, and friendship between men and women. I love watching two people match each other and overcome conflict and find love and happily-ever-after. Knowing All Will End Well makes it safe for the reader to fall in love with the characters or let their emotions get wrapped up in the story. As a writer, I have to figure out how to make every story full of high conflict and black moment but ultimately resolvable. My mind is always scheming to find a happy ending for every problem. Not a bad way to look at the world. Writing romance novel about love life and friendship is giving hope and optimism. So yeah, my job is writing romance novels, but it’s really about delivering hope and happiness. My message is get the love you deserve and gave your partner the love and support he deserves. The secret of forming a successful relationship is change the way we view relationship for the better. The couples must acknowledge and accept these differences before they can develop happier relationships.

6. DO YOU HAVE ANY PLAN TO WRITE TRILOGY?

I do. I really do. Even writing trilogy is pretty much harder and it will take so many years to write. It’s really a challenge that I want to answer. More characters, more stories, and much more lesson that I want to share to my readers. For sure, i won’t stop with this book. I have many drafts that are waiting for me to finish it.  Wish me luck :).

7. WHAT IS YOUR HOPE FOR INDONESIAN WRITING INDUSTRY?

I hope that writing and film industry are linked to each other so many books/novels adapted and come to a big screen. So creative industry in Indonesia will grow bigger and bigger. We have so many potentials, million people live in this country so Indonesia is a big market. But I hope every writer including me can keep writing what we love not just write for the market but eventually the market will find me. Hopefully, writing industry could make a new job for people as a professional writer.

Wish You Enough By Nicole Daedone

At an airport I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together. They had announced her plane's departure and standing near the door, she said to her daughter, "I love you, I wish you enough."
She said, "Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom."
They kissed good-bye and she left.
She walked over toward the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see she wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on his
privacy, but she welcomed me in by asking, "Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?" "
Yes, I have," I replied. Saying that brought back memories I had of expressing my love and appreciation for all my Mom had done for me.
Recognizing that her days were limited, I took the time to tell her face to face how much she meant to me.
So I knew what this woman was experiencing.
"Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?" I asked.
"I am old and she lives much too far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is, her next trip back will be for my funeral, " she said.
"When you were saying good-bye I heard you say, 'I wish you enough.' May I ask what that means?" She began to smile. "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone."
She paused for a moment and looking up as if trying to remember it in detail, she smiled even more. "When we said 'I wish you enough,' we were
wanting the other person to have a life filled with enough good things to sustain them," she continued and then turning toward me she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.
"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Good-bye.."

3 WOMEN & a GUY : DREAM COME TRUE

Well, just read it and you'll find out :)
Senang sekali mendapati 3 Women and A Guy dijual oleh toko buku online lapakbuku.com. Hoorraaayy i'm a lucky writer ^_^.
